Brown Deer Sales

Me and my mom purchased a car here the day before Thanksgiving. We found slight problems we wanted fixed before taking the car. The salesman Steve was friendly and accommodating and ensured the car would be ready for pick up in two days, on that Friday. On that Friday, He informed me there was a delay with a part but the car would be ready by Monday. On Monday, I received no call thus towards their closing time I called to see what happened and Steve had to put me on hold immediately to call their service center to see if the car was ready. In my opinion, by this time he should have already known the status of my car, I shouldn't have to call to remind him to see if my car was ready. He then informed me they were finishing up the car and if it wasn't ready by the time they closed that day, it would ""for sure be ready Tuesday"", his EXACT words, no exaggeration. On Tuesday I received no call, leading me to call them once again, this time he merely said they were still working on the car and gave no explanation on what the delay was, as I began to explain that I expected to have the car when initially promised he rushed me off the phone and said he would call when its ready and hung up immediately following. \r \r In summary\r -paid for car in FULL on Nov. 27th\r -promised car on the 29th\r -Received no calls from them on any update on delays or estimated day the car will finally be ready\r -It is now December 16th and I have yet to receive a call from this establishment.\r \r This review reflects on the very poor customer service I am receiving. One would expect to be informed on delays and not have to constantly be the one calling the establishment only to receive vague, if any, explanation on the status of the vehicle. \r \r I can only hope they are truly putting dedicated work into the car to ensure I don't have any problems with it. Nonetheless, the customer should be contacted and informed especially with such tremendous, unexplained delays as this. \r more

I'm telling you this from experience...do not buy your car from Brown Deer Sales or get your car fixed at their service center. Terrible customer service from owners Mike and Jim. If you do go to buy a car, make sure your car is checked, serviced, and safe to drive. I am telling you this to protect you and your money. DO NOT shop here unless you want to spend more money fixing your car then what you bought it for. more

I ran across the previous review while looking for the phone number and have had a VERY different experience here. \r \r I'm a repeat customer of theirs and have bought three cars through them in the past 6 years. They also do much service work for me, my family and friends. \r \r In one instance they didn't have the car I wanted and they found exactly what i wanted, brought it in and saved me over 2k on a very similar car that I had looked at on another lot. \r \r Is it not a flashy place. If you want to pay for a great looking showroom and beautiful lobby go to a new car dealer and pay for it. If you want to find exceptional value on good cars then check them out. It's a small car lot that picks up cars at auction and on trade and sells them. My experience has been that they go out of their way to really help you get what your looking for and at a whole lot less markup than I've experienced elsewhere.\r \r On the service side they opened a larger service facility last year that has done transmissions for me as well as maintinence. I priced the Transmission work at the the dealer and it was well over twice the cost. They went out and found a used transmission gave us a warranty on it and had no problems with it.\r \r We can't afford to waste alot of money and really look for value in what we purchase and would recommend Brown Deer Sales highly.\r \r Pros: Very good value, low overhead dealer Cons: smaller selection (but they get you what you want) more

They sell cars with known issues and fail to fix. Customer service is lacking. If you buy a car there, be prepared to have issues with the car. They are not nice to deal with. Pros: Some people are nice Cons: Sales practice, car quality, customer service more
