A sour taste 1/2/2009

I have been here a few times before, the price is very reasonable and the food is good. I have always been impressed with the buffet bar of side dishes, especially the different type of vegetables. The meats are well prepared and who can ever go wrong with picanha and bacon wrapped chicken. A group of us went last night but this last trip left a pretty disgusting taste in my mouth. While I expect things to be salty, it was WAY over done this time. We found out that they would charge $2.50 for each beer we brought in. (They do not serve alcohol so it's BYOB with a corking fee.) And the worst has got to be that they charge $1.50 for hot water. While $1.50 really is not a big deal, it's the lack of foresight and lack of insight about good business practices that ruins the dining experience for me. When we pointed out the $1.50 charge listed as "MISC. FOOD" on the bill, the head waiter proceeded to argue that most restaurants charge for hot water and we should check in the restaurant next door. He explained that in his MANY years of experience working in Beverly Hills, this was common practice. At the end, he refused to take off the $1.50. While I love the food, I just cannot imagine going back there. I really hope that this is not indicative of the way this restaurant takes feedback. Pros: Quality of food, Tasty!!! Cons: Poor people skills, Lack of Business Insight, Missing the point on the little things that do matter. more

I took my family to Brasa for lunch, everything was Great, exept for the rude waiter that introduced him self as the owner, he has no people's skills, but other than that everythig was very yummy. The meat was fresh and very tasty and the salad bar was very clean and the food exellent, we will definatelly be going back for another delightful lunch. Pros: Very good Food Cons: Rude waiter, parking more

This place is a great little brazlian churrascaria. The meat is pretty decent overall. I'm not a huge fan of garlic beef, though my girlfriend loves it. The picanha and the tri tip is excellent, and the side dishes are quite tasty as well. The mashed potatoes were pretty good, and even more so with the chicken stroganoff. The service is pretty good, for the most part. I've had to occasionally ask for drink refills, but they're usually good about that stuff. The grill master comes around often with different skewers of meat, so you'll get full quickly. Overall, an excellent, excellent restaurant. Pros: The food and staff. Cons: Parking can be a pain. more

Great Food - Awesome Live Music 3/19/2008

I really like the Brazilian food because it tastes different from the other latin, speacially Mexican, foods. Churrascaria is a delicious way to eat with your girlfriend, or even with a big crew of friends. I had a great time there not only because of the food, but definitly because of the live music. I thought that the music would bother my family, but my little daughter loved the way the musician used to sing and my wife enjoyed his smooth voice. They told me that they have live Brazilian music every Thursday night. If you don't know a lot of Brazilian music, go there and check it ou, If you know, well you can miss this. The service is very good and the salad buffet is full of tastefull options. Pros: live Brazilian music, price, food Cons: parking more

Update visit: February 28, 2009 This is a buffet place and their dinner price went down to $17 per person. They're now charging for corkage but I think this place is still the place to go for quality and value. For the meat, I only recommend the Picanha (pronounced "pikanye"). It's grilled beef and it's really yummy. Other recommendations: Brazilian cheese bread (Pao de queijo), sauteed collard greens, salmon fillet, garlic fried rice and the plantains. For dessert, if you still want more sugar after the plantains, I recommend their raspberry sorbet coupled with their vanilla ice cream. Pros: Great food, good service, reasonable prices and street parking is okay. more

Great place, worth a drive to Culver from Eagle Rock, even at today's gas prices! 3/11/2008

Great place! My dad is super-picky about restaurants, having owned quite a number of them back East in years past, and he LOVED Brasa! So did my husband and 9-year-old son, and for all members of my family to go thumbs-up on a place, it is very special indeed. The food is outstanding, as is the service. Parking can be a challenge, but we all need more fresh air and exercise! Pros: Excellent service, good attitude with kids, FAB food Cons: Parking a little dodgy in the shopping center lot, but plenty on-street nearby more

Brasa Brazil Grill is an excellent addition to one of the best kept secrets of Culver City--this little shopping center! Their food is very tasty, lots of high quality fresh options on the buffet. It's a bit pricey for everyday lunches, but a great place to have a unique meal or take a business meeting. Pros: Food, ambiance, service Cons: Prices a bit high; parking can be tight more

I went to Brasa without a reservation on Friday night with 3 friends. They seated us immediately and with no corkage fee brought us glasses and opened our bottles. The all you can eat buffet selection was incredible and the food was delicious. With the typical green and red marker to alert your server whether you want more food we tasted some incredible meats. The service was wonderful and the hostess and the owner were both delightful people. We sat for about two hours enjoying the light atmosphere. The meal was fantastic and incredibly affordable at probably half the price of similar restaurants. I will absolutely be going again, often! Thank you Brasa! Pros: Food, Service and location. Amazing value. Cons: I wish I never got full. more

I stopped in with some girlfriends of mine the day after Christmas. We had been out shopping and wanted to sit somewhere with good food & atmosphere where we could wind down, and we were happy to find this place. What is cool, is we had a bottle of wine we had brought (was a gift I had received on Christmas and happened to have in the car). I was surprised to see they allowed me to bring it in and didn't even charge a corkage fee! Good food and good times...I will definitely be back! more
