Blake's Orchard & Cider Mill

This is another Blake's Orchard, but different than the other one. This one is a few miles past the first one you will come upon, Blake's Big Apple Orchard. This one is bigger, IMO. They take you through the orchards on a small passenger train during school events as well as offering hayrides. There are more things to do at this one, as well as their store being bigger and their eating area being bigger and totally covered so you can get out of the son or rain. The corn maze here is okay but there's a better one at Blake's Big Apple. You can choose pumpkins here and take them home to pain OR they have painted ones to choose from. I USED TO LOVE GOING TO BLAKES CIDER MILL. BUT IT HAS BECOME SO EXPENSIVE,YOU COULD SPEND A SMALL FORTINE THERE. THE STRAW CLIMB IS NOW STACKS OF HAY, THE CORN MAZE WAS LITTERED WITH GARBAGE. THE HAY RIDE WAS ALSO BALESOF HAY. AND THERE WERE NOT MANY PUMPKINS TO CHOOSE FROM. THE LINE FOR FOOD AND THE BATHROOMS WERE SO LONG. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND GOING THERE UNLESS YOU HAVE VERY YOUNG KIDS. more

Blake's Cider Mill (not the big apple) is a great place for families. They have orchards where you can pick apples and berries. Inside the cider mill they serve food (donuts, hot dogs, coneys, apple cider, fudge) and candy and have a small gift shop. In the fall you can even watch the press make apples into apple cider. They have a petting zoo and tours available. Also in August they feature a free corn fest which is great! more
