The Shedd Aquarium is a national treasure. If your in Chicago it is a must see and if you have kids be sure to bring them. In my opinion the best feature is the large tank in the rotunda, there are so many varieties of fish all together, I could sit and watch that for hours on end. They also have a special exhibit on sharks in the basement that I would not reccomend. I had to pay extra and wait in line and the 'sharks' were small and hard to see. Unless your really into sharks I'd skip this. Of course there are many different tanks with fish from all over the world and they have a dolphin show as well. It is located downtown so there are lots of other things to do and places to eat near by.

The Dallas Symphony Orchestra performs in the Meyerson Hall in the Arts District of Dallas. They play a wide variety of music including opera, Bach and more modern composers. The Meyerson is one of the nations finest orchestra halls and has wonderful acoustics. Tickets are reasonably priced considering your seeing a first rate orchestra. They sometimes perform for free at events in the City. Definately a thing to see (and hear!) in Dallas.

Marion's has been in Richmond for a long time. He does graduation pictures, family pictures and any other picture you may need. He has a good selection of backgrounds and props with some outdoor. He used to have better outdoor shots before Kroger built a huge store behind him. He is a good photographer and is very easy to work with.

Carl's Electric sells appliances and some electronics. They have fridges, stoves, ovens, DirectTV service, TVs and washing machines. They are locally owned and while you can get a better price at a big box store, they will give you much better service before and after the sale. They have excellent repairmen and installers. Their salespeople are knowledgable, helpful and not pushy. This is not a high pressure place!

Richmond Feed and Grain is a division of Armada Feed and Grain. They sell dog food, bird seed, horse and cattle feed as well as specialty feeds for parrots, llamas, reptiles, etc... Most of the feed is their own brand (Armada Brand) which is made in Armada and is good quality. They also have some other products that are useful such as bird feeders and dog treats. The staff is friendly and their prices are quite reasonable (you are buying direct from the producer).

Memphis Party store has your typical supply of food and beverages that a party store offers. In addition they also have pizza which is excellent and broasted chicken. They have potato salad and cole slaw for sides. The pizza crust is nice and soft. They are fast and easy to get in and out of. The staff is helpful and friendly.

Korte's is smaller than many of the huge supermarkets around, but it has good prices, good produce and just about everything you need. The store is old and isn't as shiny as the new stores. They have a bakery, deli and meat counter. I would reccomend their sugar-free pies to anyone who is watching their sugar intake. The staff in general is very friendly and they employ many local youths. They don't have as good of a selection of specialty items as a bigger store, but you would be suprised... Even though they are the only grocery store in Armada they are still quite reasonably priced.

The Armada Fair is over 150 years old and is an old fashioned agricultural fair. It is held every year during the second week of August at the fair grounds. The focus of the fair is definately agriculture, there are lots of animals and displays of handcrafts and baking. They also have have a midway with rides for the kids. Each night there is entertainment in the arena with the biggests draws being the tractor pull, demolition derby and the concert. The Armada Fair has been fortunate to get some big name country stars to this little town. Be prepared to hunt for a parking spot as they are very limited.

Moomers makes their own ice cream, and I mean they have the cows and everything. They offer many varieties of ice cream and other frozen treats. The place has a real farm feel. They offer some dining inside but it fills quickly in the summer, so it may be a better idea to just pick some up and take it home. If your ever in the Traverse City area for the Cherry Festival, or just a vacation, be sure to visit Moomers, you'll want to come back every year!

The Young Church is an awesome ministry. They have ministries for all ages and are growing yearly. The church focuses on excellence and everything they do shows it. They have very contemporary worship. Much of their leadership is young and there are many opportunities to get involved. They have multiple services on the weekend and a midweek service as well. While much of their church is composed og students from CMU, their are many adults as well. If you are seeking God but turned off by the traditional church check out the Young Church.
