Big Rock Candy Mountain Resort

I last ate at this restaurant in 2006. I had tried it first in 2004. My brother called and recommended this as worth the trip. I was skeptical. It was even better than he had described. Such a pleasant experience in the middle of a beautiful off the path place. The gumbo was great, the chicken pasta dishes (we tried them all)-- where terrific as well. The corn fries and mango salsa where a favorite with everyone. My personal favorite were the beautiful spring green salads. Excellent! Plenty of really good- above the average- choices on a children's menu as well. Overall -The whole family was very satisfied. Fun experience, great food. Hope it is still around. You wouldn't believe the menu options or the food quality at the Big Rock Candy Mountain restaurant. The corn fries are worth the trip... the food is soooooo good here. I was skeptical that any restaurant in the middle of nowhere would have food this great, but once I tried it, I was hooked. I live in Vegas where we have critically acclaimed restaurants all over the place and yet I love Big Rock Candy Mountain. more
