Bessie's Bakery

I have eaten and cut many wedding and groom's cakes. I have to say the cakes she made for my daughter and brother-in-law were the best I have had since my own wedding. Sarah had found a picture and Kathy designed the cake exactly as she requested. The wedding cake was two flavors--strawberry and lemon chiffon with cream cheese filling--perfect for a spring wedding. The groom wanted his cake to look like a stack of law books topped by an Aggieland yearbook. It was so realistic several guests thought it really was a stack of his law books and yearbook. The chocolate fudge cake with ganache was sinfully delicious. Would I use her for my next event? Definitely! Pros: Cakes are beautiful, moist, and delicious. Cons: None!!! more

I read the other reviews and I though this would be a good one to try. I called and the lady who answerED the phone told me if I wanted any information I should call the following day because she was very "busy". I call next day (in hope that it was only one bad day for that employee), and another lady answered, when I was trying to explain how and when I would need their service, she told me, "No, I'm busy that day, good luck!" and hung up on me! We have had Bessie's Bakery do all of our wedding and groom's cakes, shower cakes, etc., and have always been totally pleased and eager to refer others to them. Not only do they make the most beautiful cakes, pies, kolaches, and cookies, but they are as delicious as they are beautiful!! They can make any type of decorative cakes and cookies that you want, and do a very professional job time and time again!! They also make delicious meals for all types of gatherings, and everything they create is divine and mouth watering. I recommend them highly and give them a ten star rating rather than just a 5!! I ordered a circus cake for my son's !st birthday carnival and i received the most beautiful, colorful, most delicious cake ever. i received a compliment on the cake almost every 5 minutes. We cut the cake and everyone wanted the name of the bakery. By the time the night was over i was saying Bessie's Bakery in Fairchild in my sleep. I just want to Thank Kathy for making my sons first birthday a success. I will forever use her for all my family events!! Pros: beautiful and deliciuos more

These ladies make the most awesome cakes. We use them for every family event that we hold. They are very nice and very prompt. We have even taken a tour of the kitchen...it is very neat and tidy.
