Editorial review from Citysearch 9/14/2012

Asano Acupuncture is a great facility! They got me in the next day, the wait time was minimal, the staff super friendly and overall a wonderful experience! The Dr. was so thorough and knew exactly what was going on and where and how to fix it! I felt completely comfortable, this having been my first time ever seeing an acupuncturist! more

Want the best? Go to the BEST! 11/22/2010

I have been a patient of Nobu's for nearly 20 years. As he is both an acupuncturist and OMD (oriental medical doctor), his office is my first stop for any and all ailments that require a doctor. I am warmly received by everyone in the office. He has treated me for pulled muscles, depression, migraines, PMS, digestive imbalances, peri-menopause, and more. Although I work in a hospital, I consider Nobu to be my ""primary care physician""; not only is he very knowledgeable on many levels, he is excellent at what he does. more

Informal, affordable, and personal 10/2/2008

Went online to find contact info for Asano Acupuncture to refer a friend. Saw the recent negative review and wanted to add my experience. My family and I have used Asano Acupuncture since 1999. Initially, I was referred by a friend when seeking holistic support for my son who was born with a hole in his heart. Asano Acupuncture treated him at 8 months old, prior to open-heart surgery. Their approach was to ensure that his body was strong enough for surgery and that he would become accustomed to medical personnel touching him. I'm grateful to Nobu, Celine, and their staff for the atmosphere they offer in their practice. It's informal, affordable, and personal. Yes, holistic approaches require active participation by patients in terms of feedback to treatments/herbs and tracking of symptoms, but I take comfort in the fact that this cooperative approach is treating the problem, not just relieving the symptoms. Pros: Appts. often available within a day more

Completely disagree with first users response to Asano Acupuncture. 9/30/2008

The first user who wrote a review is completely mistaken by Asano Acupuncture Assoc. I was so highly recommended to Asano, by more than 1 person, and was so pleased by the kindness and great diagnosis the Dr. and staff gave me. I've been going there for many years now, and if there is any problems with herbs/treatment, all i would have to do is call, and they would get me in as soon as possible, mostly free of charge. I would never go to another MD after seeing Nobu. I think the first review is completley incorrect about Asano Acupuncture Assoc. Pros: great diagnosis Cons: non more

Stay away from Asano Acupuncture.... They will treat you with neglect !!! 9/10/2008

Nobu Asano gave me a wrong diagnostic and mistreated me.He also made me pay for some sort of Chinese herbs ($35), which I didn't ask for and tossed almost immediately after I got extremely sick the very first night after the visit( took the herbs, as I was told). The next morning, feeling as a half person I almost end up in the Emergency room. I had to see my physician first thing in the morning. He prescribed me pills for stopping the nausea. Thankfully by the end of the day I felt much better! Be precautions when visiting Asano Acupuncture.. the receptionist (young blond woman) seems to be giving everyone same instructions, besides her fake smile and lack of knowledge. BE REALLY CAREFUL! Even, when asking specific questions, you wont get clear answers. I left totally confused and in worse condition! Pros: location is easy to find. Cons: small room without any air, disrespectful and pushy staff. more
