Anatolia Cafe sits in an unassuming strip mall next to a laundromat. The parking lot often appears deserted, as many of the shops have closed. At first glance, you may wonder if this cafe is even open! The first time we went here, it was completely empty. We sat in the corner on a beautiful bench with ornate pillows, and were then presented with some of the most delightful cuisine I've had in Columbus. Our lunch started with hummus, which was nice and garlic-y. The hummus comes with freshly made pita triangles that are amazing. For the entree, I ordered the Chicken Shistawook and my date ordered one of the Iskender plates. Iskender is a dish of meat with a light tomato sauce and a good helping of yogurt over pita croutons. I liked his dish so much, I ordered it the next time we went! The second time, the owner recognized us - even months after our first visit! He asked if we wanted our "regular" seat. Anatolia Cafe is a diamond in the rough - Support this restaurant and give it your business. Bring your friends and be sure that they tell their friends as well. I would hate to see this restaurant go away, all because its location obscures what awaits you inside.
Pros: Stellar service, amazing food, generous portions
Cons: Unfortunate location, nobody really knows about it
