you might as well stop here. There's nothing wrong with the Gallery, mind you. And yet, nothing too great about it either. It has all of the staples (Bath and Body Works, the Gap, Old Navy, Express) but without some of the higher end stores common to other nearby shopping 'destinations. There's only one Departmental store left (Strawbridges, soon to become Macy's) and the other spots are filled by Kmart and Burlington Coat Factory. It's also happens to have ridiculously dirty floor, for good reason: it shares Market East station, and the convenience being right on the subway brings. more

Be forewarned: this mall is adjacent to a transit hub, and it's like a ghost town during off peak hours. Tourists: Do not waste your vacation time here. Out of towners do not stop here for a reason.The Gallery has a lot of suburban shops, except in Center City in a dirty, "lower-end," mall. As the other reviewer said, almost all of the good stores here left years ago. The highlight is a Kmart, but there's also Burlington Coat Factory, PayHalf, Old Navy, and a bunch of stores that aren't worth your wait. Sales tax is a bit higher than in South Jersey, and the environment is worse. Parking isn't convenient and the food court is less-than-pristine. This mall targets a very narrow demographic... Note: this mall is located near Chinatown at Market East. It is closer to the zipcode 19107. Don't want to mislead anyone! more

If you're taking this train into the city you'll see this place. It's ok. I ate lunch there everyday while I was working at Citizens Bank nearby, and that's about all it was good for. Not much to see, and it's kinda scary. They only have a few good stores and really if you're going shopping there's better places to go. more

This is the "mall" in Center City Philadelphia, and it's really a terrible place to go. Right near my high school, my friends and I would stop in for lunch every now and then, but the dirty appearance and the downright rudeness of most stff members always had us promising ourselves we'd never return. The highlight of the mall is a K-Mart, which should tell you something. Don't go here. more

this is a great place to go shopping. they have a great variety of places to shop and eat. they especially have a great selection of watches, and perfumes. they also have this basketball tournament going on in which the winner could win some serious cash. so go test your skill. more
