This is a trattoria, not a fine restaurant. The food and service are both very good and surpass their North Beach equivalent. I had a special Tuna dish which was perfectly prepared at rare. My spouse hadlamb chops which were a treat, tasting like lamb and not some overly seasoned carne. I started with a caprese stack which was perfect while my spouse enjoyed sauteed escarole. I had to try the salmon carpaccio with fennel. The salmon was good but the fennel did not offset it quite the way I had hoped. The apple puff pastry was a wonderful dessert while the mango/raspberry flan was only very good. For a wonderful dinner, this is fun and worth the trip from downtown. It's not haute cuisine...but the best Italian food rarely is. Pros: Tasty Food, Good Service, Fairly priced Cons: Not centrally located, offputting winelist
