The National Conference for Community and Justice was founded in 1927 as the National Conference of Christians and Jews. The National Conference for Community and Justice is a human relations organization dedicated to fighting bias, bigotry, and racism in America. NCCJ promotes understanding and respect among all races, religions, and cultures through advocacy, conflict resolution, and education. Their programs concentrate on leadership development for a diverse world. Every year they conduct programs designed to change the way we look at our neighbors and ourselves not simply accepting differences, but respecting them. We deliver our message in schools and universities, in places of worship, in the community, and in the workplace. The NCCJ Training Institute is a 6 session course designed to equip individuals in acquiring the tools they need to facilitate cultural competency training. Participants increase their awareness, skills, and ability to facilitate trainings around the issues of racism, sexism, heterosexism, and classism. This training helps build capacity to function effectively and successfully in today's competitive global market. NCCJ also provides consultation, customized training, assessment, strategic planning, and evaluation to enhance skills of management and workforces in businesses and organizations. Diversity initiatives can improve the quality of the business workforce and can be the catalyst for a better return on investment in human capital. Inclusive leadership skills are critical to a broader visioin of the marketplace, success in today's competitive markets, making full use of contributions of all employees, and retention of quality staff.
