Review content:
I saw all the bad reviews so I thought I should chime in so that people can see both sides. I feel like review sites sometimes only have bad reviews because only dissatisfied customers take the time to write reviews. I've been using Pro Japanese Auto for my repair work since I moved to Santa Ana. The place was recommended to me by my uncle who has been going here for over 20 years. I've found PJA to be honest and the prices to be reasonable. I am fairly knowledgeable about cars so I think I can tell if someone is trying to upsell me. So far PJA hasn't tried to upsell on anything. Usually they repair exactly what I ask them to repair and do a fine job. I've had brakes, timing belt, water pump, suspension work, smog repairs, and oil changes done there (not all at the same time). So far everything has been working pretty good. I haven't had something else break right after fixing one thing. Most of my family uses this shop and I haven't heard any complaints from anybody yet. My only complaint is that one time I did an oil change there and usually I bring my own synthetic oil. Well they did the oil change but they didn't return the excess oil. I gave them a 5qt jug and my car only takes 3.7qt. So they owe me 1.3qts! I find it somewhat annoying that they kept 1.3qts of synthetic oil. Not a big deal but hey synthetic oil is expensive (~$3/qt). And yes I did check to make sure they really did change the oil. The dip stick had clean oil and the filter was new.
