I have lived in the area for a long time and have seen the sign for this office and I just never thought much about a dentist just for kids. A few weeks ago I received a postcard in the mail and decided to do some research on this office, the card also offered a special price for new patients. So, I called the office and asked some questions about what they do, what's included and the cost. It's true the special is not a bait and switch!! I scheduled - The Special price was an amesome deal! The office is great, the care wonderful and informative. I sat with the Dr. Haugseth during the full visit with my child and the way she explained to my child and did her job was amazing. Things were pointed out to me that I had never been informed of by other dentists(things we never mentioned to the office - my child has a very sore place on the roof of her mouth behind her front teeth) Dr. Haugseth pointed it out and asked if the area was sore and explained that the reason for this - my childs lower teeth hit behind the top teeth and when the doctor had her try biting differently (on only back teeth and a few other ways) I was stunned that my daughters jaw was out of whack and she had problems biting and chewing food. I was given information on the appliance, how long it would take to fix the problem and cost. I did seek another opinion at another childrens dentist and was given the feeling that "oh, just wait until you child is older and let the orthodontist do something with it". After finding out it maybe something an orthodontist does I made an appointment. At the consultation with the orthodontist it was confirmed that the appliance is needed and the sooner the better or orthodontics would be longer and more expensive. The orthodontist said that he wished more dentists would do as Dr. Haugseth does and have issues addressed when noticed. I am so happy to have found Dr. Haugseth and her office.
