Review content:
Jalisco's has become our top spot for a Mexican dinner. Coming from southern California, we are a little picky about our Mexican food. We were shocked to learn that flavored hamburger meat was the staple at most Mexican restaurants here in Washington. We were becoming desperate for a good fix when we discovered Jalisco's in downtown Kirkland.
Although somewhat small, we've never had a problem getting a table before 6p.m. They do get busy between 6-7 even on weeknights. Children and families are welcome. The service is great- very accommodating to substitutions and special requests. The salsa is outstanding, as is the margaritas.
We found their portions to be somewhat smaller than most Mexican restaurants, but the quality of the entrée and side items definitely leave you feeling full. We did find it odd that they put peas into most of their burritos and entrées, but the carne asada and chickens flavor far outweighed any taste of peas.
