Review content:
Goa is the epitome of the fake, "exclusive" Hollywood nightclub, where promoters are treated and act like gods, picking and choosing only the "best" (cute blonde white girls first, then white blondes, then white brunettes...you get the picture) for entry. I went to this club only because a friend chose it. There were four of us total and we were supposedly on a guest list. Three of us are Latina, and one of us is Asian. We arrived at Goa a little before 10pm and were third in line. The girls in front of us informed us that blondes wearing revealing clothing always get in first. And they were right. We waited as the line behind us got longer and longer. The bouncers started letting people in--first those with bottle service--then people from our line. Despite being the third group there, we were kept waiting while groups--always with a pretty blonde in tight clothing--were pulled from behind us in line and allowed to go through. We were also kept waiting while blondes approached the bouncers and promoters directly, dropped names, and were allowed entry. At one point, my friend asked one of the gate keepers when they would let us in, and we were told that he would get to us eventually and that he had a "capacity issue." Not five minutes later, he let a group of people in--people who had been behind us in line. After over an hour of this despicable treatment, we left and went to a different club down the street. Since we had valet parked at Goa, we went back after leaving the other club. One of my friends was complaining about our experience to a Goa bouncer, who told us that we had come on the wrong night. He advised us to come on Tuesdays, "Urban Night," which to me is tantamount to telling us to go through the back door! Even though my friends and I aren't "model status," we were as pretty as a lot of the white girls they let in before us, and the bouncer's comment proved our theory that this club is exclusively for whites unless you can sneak in with a friend. Pros: None Cons: Snobby, exclusive, and only for white girls unless you have a hookup or friend
