Don’t bother going here unless you like to be treated rudely and called a liar. I had a gift certificate that stated it was not valid on holidays, so I called a couple of days before we were planning to go out for a special dinner to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. I asked the gentleman on the phone if they considered Memorial Day a holiday for their purposes, and he assured me that, no, the restriction only applied to big days when they had specials – like Mother’s Day and Father’s Day. After getting rave reviews from my sister about the Melting Pot in Cleveland, we arrived looking forward to trying this fun dining experience for the first time. First the hostess who seated us said she didn’t think we’d be able to use the certificate, then our server repeated that message, and finally I asked to speak to the manager. I explained my phone conversation specifically verifying that we’d be able to use it, but he just kept saying that it stated right on the certificate that it couldn’t be used on holidays. When I said that someone on his staff had assured me that it wouldn’t be a problem, he told me that he didn’t have any males that were there during the day and no one would have told me that anyway. Basically, he called me a liar. I can’t attest to the quality of their food because at that point we left, but their customer service is non-existent.
