Animal food is not stored properly and frequently gets infested with bugs. Their small animals and birds are kept in overcrowded, unclean cages not to mention the cages that the customers DON'T see! Sick animals are left to die in dirty containers away from the "sales floor" - no vet care is given unless the customer who is purchasing it notes illness. Someone buying a pomeranian puppy had to wait over a week to take the dog home b/c they noticed the dog had bloody diahrea and they had to wait for the vet to come back to the store and see the dog. The store did not take the dog to the vet - they waited for the vet to come to the store! Every single puppy sold there comes from puppy mills - the same with the birds and small animals. And the employees are INSTRUCTED to lie about where they come from. A family member purchased a chihuahua from them and spent well over $4000 in vet bills the first year - puppy was extremely sick, has many intestinal issues and luxating patella. A friend purchased a pomeranian puppy there - it had coccidia, giardia, and campylobacter. Puppy is less than 2 years old and needs a $2000 surgery to alleviate knee and hip pain due to such poor breeding. A guinea pig that developed many health problems due to the horrible food they feed was going to be sold as snake food. It was rescued by a worker and brought back to health. I know first hand that these people could not care any less about animals - they are only in it for the money. They have no problems knowingly purchasing puppies from puppy mills and selling sick animals. They should go back to running the "cafe" they used to run.
