It had been awile so we tried them again tonight. $42 to two bowls of
gumbo and a seafood salad....OUCH! The gumbo was good (not great)
but the rice portions were very skimpy. There was a reasonable amount
of seafood on the salad but the seasoning was bland and the tomatos
were anemic.
We continue to fondly remember the other Don's that we have eaten at
and how great they were (are?) and that makes this one all the more
disappointing. And with the new Bass Pro that is opening right across
the interstate in February, we get a new seafood resturant.
If the quality and prices don't improve this Don's is not long for Denham
Springs and that is unfortunate.
