Businiess name:  Gold Coast Car Wash
Review by:  Kaan E.
Review content:
I love my car and I usually wash it myself using very high quality materials. And I inspect it regularly. Until they touched it, it was a relatively scratch-free car. I took my car on a cold day to this place (being lazy and won't happen again). When I returned home, I saw some hazing and holograms. I was surprised since I have never saw this before and I inspect the car quite often. When I looked at the door panels under strong light (i.e the beam of light from another car's headlight) my paint looked as if they washed it with a Brillo-pad. On a dark colored car it is pretty hard to miss unfortunately. I took the car to this place and talked to the manager. The response was "this happens to all cars. It is normal" yeah the ones that come here maybe. When I asked him why he is using the same dirty mitts over and over again without a rinse/wash, he said "I can't change buckets and mitts for each car". He basically dismissed all my explanations that these scratches occurred after one wash only. He said it was either my fault or simply my eyes did not see these scratches which were obviously there before. I find that very hard to believe well here is a reality check for a $23 wash you HAVE TO give top-notch service and stand behind your product. I was not even offered a refund or anything... moreover there are places that changes mitts and towel for each car and charge less in Chicago. I was not aware of them and I was ignorant, but you should not be. If you want to save your investment and keep your car clean and scratch free, do not go this place. It is simply an average car wash who charges a lot and possibly when they put the scratches on your car, they do the polishing and buffing also and take more of your money. If the scratches did not occur until now, believe me they will. Sooner or later and you will have to pay $$$ to get it fixed.
