Review content:
I know, dentists have to make money too. However, I went in for a routine cleaning today, and the dental hygenist took xrays, then told me I had cavities (i've never had cavities before) and polished my teeth. Didn't clean them, polished them. The dentist came in and said Oh you need a deep cleaning. I've had this done before, a few years ago, and felt like it's what a regular cleaning was. They charged me $200 for 'antibiotic listerine' back then. This time, it was only 40$, but the added charge for a non-normal cleaning was $100.00. I feel if you have an HMO, the dentists try to get you to pay more so they make more, and this is how I felt today. I told the Dentist I did not have the money to pay for these services, and he jumped up and left the room without saying a word. He didn't even push the tray out of my way. I went in for a cleaning, and got nothing. Never again. I went back to work and switched to the PPO. And i'll get a 2nd opinion.
