Okay first of all I just moved back to the valley from finishing college in Austin. I was use to the friendly staff at 24 hour fitness or just the friendly Austin people in general. Okay first time I go in I go in I ask some really young unfriendly lady (girl) if there is anyone who could show me around...you know the usual procedure a gym provides their first time customers. She rudely tells me if you want you can go look around upstairs, but if you want help with the machines you'll have to hire a trainer. As I stand around like a dumba*s, she never looks nor talks to me again. So at this point i'm irate that i HAVE to leave, I've never been there I don't know what is what or what is where, I have no idea of how the system in this place works. So after two weeks I decided to hire a traniner, I sign up for 3 times a week for 3 months package some guy who spoke half english half spanish sold me (PICK A LANGUAGE I SPEAK BOTH...sorry pet peeve of mine). So I go in, day one and I am beyond sore, I've been sore before but it was to the point where I couldn't straighten my left arm. Even though I told this guy "hey buddy haven't worked out the 4 years I was in college take it easy no?" and you know what he tells me...I kid you not, the old cliche "no pain no gain" OMG! how cheesey and annoying. Annoyed as I am with my new trainer, I show up to our next appointment as I see that he's 10, now 20, now 30 minutes pass and no show of trainer. I step off my cardio machine and go downstairs to ask if he was even there. Front desk girl tells me "oh i don't know if he had you in his book". I explain to her that I talk to that guy (i pointed to the guy who sold me on the training) and she responds with "oh that's just a sales rep he just sells stuff (she said the word STUFF i kid you not) your trainer has to have you in his book. Shouldn't the sales rep guy who sells "stuff" have some sort of system with their trianers??? Case in point I left my number and trainer never called back that day. I called today cause we're supposed to meet tomorrow, but what do you know never called back. So do yourself a favor for about the same price you can drive across the street to 600+ which is brand new, more zen, friendly staff, more organized and has way more to offer and I'm sure you'll get better results than I have. Hmm, now I must find a way to get out of this ironclad contract I'm stuck with. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. Trust me go across the street~
