Review content:
I took a strapless dress that was maybe a size too big in to be altered. When I picked it up a week later it was so tight that I couldn't zip it up without help (it's a side zip, so it should be easy) or fasten the clasp at the top of the zip. The seamstress told me 1) some people don't like zipping a dress up all the way, 2) most people like to leave the clasp undone, and 3) maybe I could lose some weight.
I couldn't believe it. I paid $52 for this? For alterations to make the dress fit worse than it did before -- and to be told I should lose weight before next weekend to make it fit? The dress was a size 4 before the alterations, for pete's sake.
She did offer to move the clasp for me. Forget it, I'm taking it elsewhere to get it fixed.
