Businiess name:  VW Repair Michael Iacono
Review by:  Dan M.
Review content:
I found Mike's Import by doing a web search. I first visited him to look over a 1985 Westfalia I wanted to buy back in Sept. 2006. He didn't charge me anything for going over the vehicle and doing a brief test drive. When I needed the rack and pinion replaced in June of 2007 (the vehicle had been up on blocks for 10 years and the seals dried out) I had him do the work after getting several estimates in the $250 to $300 price range for labor. I had purchased the part myself. It took roughly 3 hours (he works alone and is sometimes interrupted by phone calls or visitors) and he charged less than half of the other estimates. He clearly knows the Vanagon and VW's extremely well, has written technical articles for publication and is more than fair in what he charges. I have no hesitation about recommending him most highly.
