Review content:
Chem Dry of McKinney must have changed owners or management. Our first experience with them two years ago was positive. The current experience is terrible. To begin with they were late picking up two area rugs. After picking them up on a Friday, they were supposed to call the following Monday with the cost. They never called us back with an estimate. We did not know the cost until th rugs were finally delivered (read on).
After three weeks, I called them to check the status and the person on the phone said, "Oh yeah, I just noticed last night that those were done. We will deliver them tomorrow." Still no estimate on the cost.
The next day, one of the two rugs delivered was not ours. We overheard the delivery person talking to the office and exclaiming that there were dozens of rugs in the shop and they were not marked as to who owned them. We were then asked to describe our missing rug. Have you ever tried to describe an oriental rug? We did our best to describe it and he said they would find the correct one and deliver it the next day.
Another week went by and we still had not received our second rug. I called on Monday of this week and Stacie, one of the owners, said, "Oh yeah, we have it set up for delivery tomorrow." She actually called the next day to ask if they could bring it the following day (today) at 8:00 AM. I said OK (of course I would hate to inconvenience them). Wednesday moring at 8:30 they called to say the deliver person was running late and would be here at 10:00. At 12:45 and no one had showed up or called so I called the office and spoke with Stacie again. She told me that the rug was not yet finished, which made no sense since she had called at 8:30 that morning to tell me it would be delivered by 10:00.
We finally received the 2nd rug back on Friday morning. The work done on both rugs was good but it seems Chem Dry of McKinney is running a very disfunctional operation. They are really not even in McKinney. their operation is in Plano and all they have done is set up a McKinney phone number that rings through to the plano location and use the onwers home address at the McKinney location. I will never never use them again.
