As first time homeowners my fiance and I decided to ring the people who had placed a sticker on our unit to have them repair the a/c. (We don't live together by the way - that's important for me to say it) So they come out and we ended up buying a new system for about 5,000.00. Then they had to review the work but the workers kept messing up and not doing it properly causing the inspector to come out SEVERAL times. Recently they came out for a check up and told me that our warrenty wouldn't be valid unless I had the coils cleaned in the Unit and that would cost me 400.00 and I thought, okay I can pay that or my fiance and I can split it. So no big deal, right? Wrong! They took advantage of me because I know nothing on A/C's but stuff like cars and such I do; so they said I would need to install this 1200.00 light to keep the coils cleaned at least cleaned enough to keep the machine running smoothly and thus if I didn't clean them the warrenty would be voided. So I panicked and said yes - stupid me. I didn't want the warrenty to go bad on a brand new 5,000 machine! Really don't call these people; they cheat you out of money. My mother-in-law got a bigger machine for 3,500. What a rip off!
