http://www.jimdandysewer.com/ As being relatively new to the area, we didn't personally know any plumbers. All the reviews I read online were mostly mediocre to bad - esp bad from Those Who Advertise Heavily. Since the 'net (even Judy's Book) wasn't helpful, I decided to go through the classic Yellow Pages & called the first 5 plumbers who did not have full page ads. All we needed done was to replace our kitchen sink faucet. I had the faucet, and this could be a DIY repair, if we were the DIY types. But we're not. A couple plumbers would not quote me anything over the phone. They'd come out & give me an estimate on the spot. Nope, don't need that. The rest gave me their hourly rates (usually ~$90/hr) and a few told me this would not take more than 2 hours. So, I had a ballpark amount in my mind... and I went with the person who was most polite with me on the phone, not necessarily the cheapest rates. So, Jim Dandy Plumbing came to our rescue. They called when they were on their way (on time, I might add), and were very courteous. Michael, the plumber (the other guy was training? assisting?), looked at the faucet & said we just needed a piece replaced; we didn't need the whole faucet. He happened to have the piece in his truck. It took a whole 20 mins. He advised me to return the faucet I bought, and also suggested better brands. He even told me what kind of sink to get, since we're thinking of renovating too. This guy was very helpful. Mind you, this wasn't cheap. The bill was about $130 (part was $22, the rest was labor). But it could've been $100 more. And, I'm able to return the $100 faucet we bought, too. I really appreciate this guy's honesty. That's why I am recommending Jim Dandy Plumbing.
