Review content:
See's Candy is one of the greatest places on earth and they make some of the best candy ever. When you walk into the store, you are instantly transported to chocolate heaven! The smell is divine and the view, oh my, chocolate everywhere you look! And did you know? They give out free candy samples. FREE CHOCOLATE CANDY! Oh, I think that I am drooling again....
As you go into the Bakersfield See's Candy store, one side of the store is full of boxes of pre-wrapped candy. These boxes of candy have their standard selection of candy that they put together for you, then wrap for you. The boxes are in different sizes, generally either one or two pound boxes. You just choose the box you want, then pay for it and you are good to go. Quick and easy, chocolate fix satisfied! You can get soft centers or candy with nuts. You can also choose milk chocolate or dark chocolate.
The other side of the store is a giant glass display case filled with individual pieces of chocolate candy all on display for your viewing pleasure. Sort of like a chocolate candy smorgasboard! This is the area of the store that you get to individually select the candy that you want to buy. You can buy one piece or a hundred pieces. You can get them to go in a bag or they will pack your pieces into boxes for you.
One of my favorite flavors of See's Candy is bordeaux. I always get it when I go. I think the individual pieces actually taste better than the bigger bars.
See's Candy cost a bit more than your average grocery store candy bars but it is well worth the extra $$$. Currently See's Candy is about $14.10 per pound.
See's Candy makes the perfect gift. You can buy the pre-packaged boxes or you can pick your own box of personally selected chocolates or you can even buy gift certificates so that your loved one can choose their own chocolate guilty pleasure. See's Candy also has a website http://www.sees.com/ where you can order candy and have it shipped either directly to you or to your gift recipients. Christmas would be the perfect time to have it shipped because it shouldn't melt since the weather is cooler this time of year.
And as if all this chocolatey good news isn't enough, See's Candy has fund raiser chocolate bars! If you need to earn money for your school or church, See's Candy makes chocolate bars specifically for fund raisers.
See's Candy is there to make your chocolate dreams come true.
