Review content:
During my college days in Boston, I was invited on a camping trip that required a sleeping bag. I hadn't been camping in years, maybe since I was five years old, so I warily ventured over to Eastern Mountain Sports (EMS to frequent customers!) (when it was located on Commonwealth Ave.) to see what I could find.
The selection was varied. A novice like myself found a bag made by the company, for a decent price. But this store clearly has sleeping bags for the more frequent camper, hiker and backpacker, designed for whatever elements you will be experiencing (sorry, I wasn't brave enough to camp in the snow!).
With friendly customer service (the staff all seemed to be experienced outdoorspeople with knowledge of their products), I'd definitely return to any of their locations. I'd much rather buy a sleeping bag and get to test it out than go online or through a catalogue.
