Businiess name:  Laurie J. Hickox

Review content:
I would like to recommend Dr Laurie Hickox as a very knowledgeable and wonderful veterinarian. My cat became ill with runny eyes and sneezing. Usually a cold runs its course and he recovers. However, this time he appeared to be suffering more than usual, and he was not eating much. A friend had recommended Dr. Hickox to me, and I called and made an appointment for that very day. The animal hospital Dr. Hickox has is brand new, dogs on one side, cats on the other. There is plenty of parking. It has a comfortable waiting room with lots of room for the owners to separate themselves from others. This becomes important when you are unsure about what your pet has and do not want to transmit it accidentally to others. The hospital is well staffed. The staff is caring, interested in your pet, and know what they are doing. I was shown to a treatment room, with stainless steel tables for the animals that were clean and attractive and well lit. An assistant took the vitals of my poor cat, and she too was very knowledgeable and helpful. Dr. Hickox is a lovely woman, great bedside manner, handles the animals professionally and knows her stuff. My cat was quickly diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection, and he also has two teeth that need to be treated. She prescribed some medications, also noted that he had not had his distemper or rabies shots, and gave him those as well. The pricing is reasonable. While no Vet is going to be cheap, for the shots, which also included an antibiotic, medication to be taken daily and the examination, I believe this was a reasonable fee. My cat will be going back to have his teeth taken care of. I would trust Dr. Hickox to do a good job with this as well. A professional Vet who is knowledgeable and treats both the humans and animals well and has reasonable fees is a good Vet in my books and one I would recommend to others.
