Review content:
Weathervane is a seafood restaurant in New England. We recently had dinner at the one in Brewer, Maine and it was very disappointing.
The service was slow, we waited about 20 minutes before our waitress showed up to take our order and the food took forever. We waited almost an hour for our main course to arrive and when it arrived the kids meals were over done and cold. One of my children ordered Mac and Cheese and the top was hard. You could tell it must have been sitting for a while under a heat lamp before the other meals were ready.
I ordered crab cakes which were very dry. I asked the waitress what was in the stuffing and she said they use butter and Ritz crackers for the stuffing. What no crab meat in a crab cake??? It was so dry I could hardly swallow the food.
Even after complaining to the waitress nothing was done about our meal. I would not recommend this restaurant. We love to eat out, but even with the best of coupons I will not be returning.
