Review content:
I wish I could rate various aspects of my visit to the spa, but since there is only one, I have to give the most weight to my 80 minute massage with Dallas. Five stars! Every once and a while I get a massage by someone who really knows what they're doing, and Dallas is one of those few. I live on the north side of town (Houston), went to the spa with my sister and mom who live in Clear Lake, and got him by luck of the draw. Whether mom and sis go with me or not, I will definitely be returning to see him. He not only asked me where to concentrate, he did what we talked about without ignoring the rest and actually gave me things to do on my own to help keep my neck and shoulders from getting so tight in the first place! How refreshing. I would rate the rest of the visit (the building, staff, etc) about a four. The place itself was nice and comfortable. The jacuzzis were great for after our massages, but the steam room was not working. The front desk staff were all pretty young--makes me wonder what kind of turn over they have--but regardless, they were polite and helpful enough, and we didn't have any problems. In fairness, I've been to two destination spas (Europe and Caribbean) which have set the bar extremely high for my facility and staff expectations. But even for the amount of money it takes to get to and stay at those places, the massage, body treatment and estetic (sp?) services don't always rival what can be found in my own backyard!
Pros: Dallas' massage--professional and comprehensive
Cons: steam room not working :-(
