How awesome is this place? I would do 90% of my shopping here if I lived in Oakland. It's hard to understand how Asian markets like this function on an a different economic scale than the rest of the Bay Area. The prices here are so cheap. Make no mistake about it, this isn't a rinky-dinky little market - this is a Korean superstore, complete with produce, cosmetics, liquor, frozen foods, cookware… a diverse selection of anything from 25lb sacks of premium rice, exotic mushrooms, over a dozen different miso pastes, all sorts of packaged and frozen stuff I've never seen before. Try the frozen udon noodles… they take ONE MINUTE to cook and they're sooo good.
