Review content:
Zolo is always hot and happening. It's a little off the beaten path - one of the better Boulder restaurants that is not within walking distance of the Pearl Street Mall. It's tucked away in a non-descript shopping center near Canyon and 28th, next to a movie theater.
The bar is always a few people deep on a Friday night and the outside patio is filled with people wearing not quite enough clothing (one of the joys of the scenery of Boulder.) Start with the guacamole - it's a standard and is excellent (if you aren't a guac fan, ask for the salsa sampler - or hell - just go for it and get both.)
The food is fresh and clever with a Mexican theme. I love the fish tacos and the corn chowder. Servings are large - you will walk away very full. We finished the evening with a banana cream pie with fudge sauce.
I have never been disappointed after a meal at Zolo.
