Review content:
The procedures and services provided are professional and well implemented usually and the doctors all seem well versed in the medical needs of our animals. The place is clean, sterile and usually pleasant. Reason I don't like the place? Because all these good points stand as long as your wallet can keep up.
I guess they weren't kidding when they put "hospital" in the name as opposed to "clinic". Aside from the unfortunate fact that every procedure will cost you double what most vet's would charge (even if it's as simple as worming an animal or getting their vaccines), Alomosa will go out of it's way to *add* to your current charges. I am reminded of a sales rep. on commission when I deal with the nurses there.
Now, I know a thing or two about animals, and I'd like to think I have an idea of what is and what is not a priority. Fear is a great seller and these guys use fear to sell you their products even if they are unrelated to your animals' condition. In truth, I have to lie a lot when I go on routine visits there. Otherwise, I am almost bullied into purchasing their own special dog-food mix, worming pills and perhaps a special shampoo which I am told my pet needs desperately and somehow everyone neglected to mention until they had my credit card in their hands at the front desk where the receptionist decided this extra purchase was necessary...
The first few times I gave in, politely paying for whatever they threw on there. When the day came that I just couldn't pay my $500 bill off in one large lump sum due to other bills choking my funds for the month, they sent me a statement in the mail two days later, demanding it be paid in full. When I called about credit I was told they can wait until "the next paycheck" but that is all. I realized this place cares far more about making money than it does about caring for animals.
