It's the newest in the Baton Rouge area so of course it's going to be the snazziest -- attractive, clean, and big. Rave is located off the interstate at O'Neal Lane which is good and bad -- convenient, but at an area famous for traffic tie-ups in the evening. Be sure to budget plenty of time to get there in traffic between 3:30pm and 7:30pm during the week. Yeah, concessions are steep. They're like that everywhere. Sneak in your own. :) Yeah, ticket prices are steep. Again, it's just a sign of the times. Hit the matinee. Couple of things you can do to save time if you're running late: order your tickets online at MovieTickets.com, or use the credit/debit card kiosk right outside the door to purchase your tickets without standing in line. Love the theater seating, bathrooms are very nice, but unless you're seeing a movie on opening weekend, you may end up in one of the smaller theaters in the back. Another hint: exit the parking lot afterward on the side of the Mexican restaurant, where the entrance to the parking lot is...don't exit nearest the light at O'Neal. People aren't always kind about letting you out there. In summary: GREAT theater, clean, new, big, and located in the far eastern side of Baton Rouge so it's ideal for folks in Denham Springs and Walker. If you haven't been to Rave yet, go see what you're missing!
