Review content:
Lost Maples Cafe or "The Cafe" to the locals, is a very friendly atmosphere for getting all the gossip in town, quenching your thirst, or grabbing a bite to eat. There are old family photos and all types of nostalgic items decorating the walls. It has loads of country charm!
Having worked here for a very long time i can tell you the food is wonderful. I have cooked way more than my share of pancakes and chicken fried steaks. Just when you go in never order more than 2 pancakes, there is a reason that the "Cafe" doesn't have more than 2 on the menu, most people can't eat more. Or try one of their kitchen sink breakfast tacos, be warned there are jalapenos in them so order without if you don't like hot!!
The large chicken Fried Steak is a must try also, hand battered beef fresh from the Mercantile, you won't taste anything like it elsewhere. If you make it on Friday night be sure to try the catfish special, or the steak special on Saturday night. And we mustn't forget the hand battered onion rings!!
For those of you on special diets and such, they will do their best to accommodate!! Just explain what you want and more than likely you will get it if at all possible!!
