I love my VWs! I just wish I could get service that was as good as the car!
The service center at Metro Volkswagen has lost my confidence. I am unfortunately stuck with them or having to drive 30 minutes to the next dealer.
Where to start? Can you imagine the feeling you would get as you drive around a corner and feel the seat underneath you lift up and shift? I can tell you how I felt: SCARED! This was after having the seat heater replaced in my car. Apparently they forgot to replace a bushing that allowed the drivers seat to lift 3 inches from the floor! Fortunately I was able to get the car carefully back to the dealer without it causing an accident.
I was assured by VW service that this type of incident could never happen again, but it worries me that it happened in the first place.
The second incident with Metro was for an oil change on my wife's car. After driving to get new tires and to return the car home it seemed to be making quite a bit of noise and as she pulled in to park the check engine light came on. When I got home and checked her oil it didn't even register on the dipstick!! Had to call VW roadside assistance and waste my Saturday getting it towed in and having them check it for damage due to the technician FORGETTING to check the oil and make sure it was topped off!!
If you have no choice or are under warranty it makes it tough to go somewhere else - I just want to warn everyone to check and make sure that everything is done right and be careful for a day or two after having Metro service your car!
