I started to have my wedding dress altered at Nelda's Austin/airport rd location, but when they didn't have appts to meet my needs I transferred my dress to the Pflugerville location. A regret. What was supposed to be a simple alteration took at LEAST 3 return visits as my dress still was not done. The owner here seemed "out of it" and not very on-the-ball. On my first return appt (my dress was suppose to be ready) the owner/tailor wasn't there, and I had to wait for her to show up. When I tried my dress on it seemed that the bust had not been taken in AT ALL. When I asked if the bustle had been done, the owner/tailor was unsure and couldn't answer me!!?! This left me wondering if they had done any work at all!?? She completely missed my next appt time, and the guy working there had to call her to tell her I was there. Instead of hustling to the store she told me it would be another hour bcs she had to go visit her mother. I was very unhappy. On my next appt there were 2 other people there, so I had to wait for the only dressing room/bathroom to be available. I was on time (if not early) to all my pre-scheduled appts. When the work was FINALLY done it was decent work. But what had been estimated at 2hrs of work was now a bill for 4hrs of work. I ended up paying for 3hrs, @$40 per hour. The other thing I did not like about this place is that it is a resale shop - not a setup for an alterations place. The 1 dressing room is the bathroom and I did not appreciate having to drag my wedding dress around their bathroom floor. Plus they don't have enough workers to deal with the walk-ins & the appts. Unhappy service, I will not return. Pros: decent work Cons: price, customer service, atmosphere
