I opened my package with the anticipation of an archeologist uncovering a new chamber. I was thrilled with my several sets of redesigned and reimagined necklaces and earrings. Since I’m under 5 feet tall, we usually can get a pair of earrings out of a too-long necklace, resulting in elegant combinations.
Laynie and I have worked together for about seven years. She is a professional of the highest integrity, a highly skilled designer and craftsman, and she is very fair and transparent regarding price. We have worked together when I lived nearby, and just as successfully when I moved across the continent.
Laynie has a remarkable combination of the artistic eye and practical fabrication skills. I would recommend her for restyling vintage pieces, creating brand new designs, and helping the client to figure out what feels ‘really right’ for them. Most recently she rescued an old bracelet fragment, from the depths of my drawer. It seemed to have an intricate design, but no clasps and was unusable. Now it is a gorgeous festoon necklace with matching earrings, a shiny treasure.
Laynie is tireless in bringing forward the finished pieces according to my minds’ eye, or re-imagined with her design expertise and patient help. Her pieces are always elegant, sturdy and they draw compliments frequently.
I always feel a little better about myself when I wear the beautiful pieces with Laynie’s special touch. A big plus is that Laynie is a delight to work with. She is always available and is flexible when I change my mind. She has worked tirelessly to provide complete satisfaction every time.
