Terrible service! Last summer I contracted for a soaker tub to be done in my basement bathroom. It required a whole carpentry frame out as what was there before was a claw foot free standing tub. The job dragged out for several months with numerous errors . The entire carpentry was faulty and dangerously unsafe, the tiling had several errors that I myself had to instruct how the correct way was,and on & on. This project cost around $12,00. And yet (because the pipes are on the cement outside walling) the water is freezing cold in winter and I was unable to fill only one inch high before the water from the mixer style knob gave only cold. At the start of the job I had said I wanted separate cold & hot faucets because then (as I had since buying the house in 1998 & had worked fine to get soaking amount of HOT water cause I could cut the cold). They did not do so saying the mixer type would be fine and separate hot & cold was not legal (FALSE). I now have a $12000 soaking tub that is only usable less than 1/2 the year. The town building inspector has come and the mixer is faulty functioning or not adjusted correctly . They also have informed me that Ben Franklin has not done permits on this tub, the shower they constructed in master bath upstairs,the shower faucet changes in the second upstairs bath, or the kitchen faucet job. They have dragged this out since first complaint in autumn and I feel are trying to have the 365 day warranty of work run out. Please help get this corrected
