Review content:
We had been clients for many years when Dr Nemec first appeared as one of the (employee) vets. The owner then was Dr Freitag, whom we liked. There was also a third vet employed: a good man, compassionate, thorough and well-liked. When we brought our big grey cat in for some nutritional guidance (as in losing some weight at a sensible rate), Dr. Nemec looked not at the cat, but at the chart and gave us a recommended weight of 15 lbs and the number of calories per day necessary for him to achieve it. I was blown away. I said, 'That can't be right; look at him. He's 39? long.' She laughed and said with a condescending smirk hat still makes me grit my teeth,:"Oh, you owners; you always think your cat is special.? She then circled the weight and number of calories on a paper & sent us home. To my everlasting regret (and against my husband?s better judgment), I proceeded to feed him only that small number of calories; although I had sense enough to reject her target weigh
