Review content:
We just left Euclid Veterinary Hospital. We took our cat Franz in after seeing an ad in the Plain Dealer offering Free Dental Exams. I knew there'd be some catch, or they'd try to upsell me to a dental cleaning, but I thought that would be expected and was ready for it. \r However, as soon as we got there, the nice receptionist was very concerned that Franz wasn't up-to-date on his rabies shot. He did get a rabies vaccine as a kitten, but it has 'expired'. However, he is a sweet, indoor cat, and this has never been an issue before, at either of the 2 other veterinary offices he has visited. \r The receptionist checked in with the vet to see if he would even see Franz without us paying the $26 fee for the rabies shot. After much discussion, the receptionist came back and said he would not see Franz. \r What I don't understand is -- why doesn't the ad mention that you have to bring proof that your cat is up-to-date on his rabies shot? and they could have mentioned it when we called in before we came... Also, if they're so concerned about rabies, why aren't they (the vet and workers) vaccinated against it? \r It felt like a rip-off. We took Franz home without any dental exam. We will take him to his normal veterinarian for the dental exam.
