A lesson in how not to do business. Anyone that has ever purchased landscaping rock knows that there is no way to know exactly how much rock to buy. My experience with Smotherman's this weekend was quite the same. I typically use a rock place on 259 north but with them being closed on weekends and a break in the rain, i chose Smotherman's. I purchased almost 1000 pounds of rock to build my new addition to my front yard. I say a 1000 pounds but i'm not quite sure with the scale that was used seemed to be extremely old with using plates for counter instead of a digital scale that all other rock places use?? I build my flower bed and take back the rock that i had left over as well as look around to buy the plants to go into my flower bed. Then i find out that they don't take back left over rock??? why??? Everybody else does. So i did not buy my plants there and never will again.
