BUYERS BEWARE!
Bought an appliance with orders for a garage only delivery. The delivery person went into my house, set off my alarm and was bit by my terrified dog. This was four days ago...after 10+ phone calls with requests to pay my required vet bills (not to mention the time off work to take him for the Animal Control ordered multiple visits and the fact that he is quarantined to my house for 10 days) I have yet to receive any answer. They are still "researching" it and have to be "thorough" before any answer was given. Oh, and when I called Monday, shortly after the incident, I was told "you are correct, it's clear on the order form -- he should have never been in your house."
Considering someone broke into my house, think the request to pay my likely $200 vet bill is pretty reasonable.
WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN -- and would encourage others not to.
RESPONSE FROM Dick Van Dyke Appliance World:
I sincerely regret that your service experience was less than exemplary. We take our promises to our customers' very seriously here at Dick Van Dyke Inc. Despite our best efforts, though, circumstances happen from time to time that prevent us from delivering the top notch service we try to guarantee. I have reviewed the situation surrounding your installation of your appliances.
Once we receive a copy of the veterinary clinic bill, we will issue you a full refund for all expenses associated with the incident in your home. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact me at 217-544-8180 option 2 for service.
Sincerely,
Tiffany Ogden
