Review content:
Estimate done by Jim Kerrigan, was given a quote for work requested. Did not call company back, waiting on estimates from other companies. His sister Ann shows up unannounced to give us an estimate. She does not inquire as to our specifics. Was given a quote by her that was $2200 less than her brother's. We thought she was offering a better deal to get our business since she said she would knock off an additional $500 if we would agree to have the driveway done the next day. We agreed. Said they would start by 10am next day. They showed up around 11 am. Showed Ann what I wanted. She said that would be another $400. Agreed. THEY SAT IN MY DRIVEWAY ALL DAY AND DID NOTHING. Stated they were waiting on a load of gravel to come from Gainsville since all the other company were closed at noon on Saturdays. They dropped a load of gravel finally at 9pm and left. Said they would be back Monday to finish. They did. However, Ann came out and stated that what they did was more than what I wanted and said we owed another $2000! I wasn't there to argue so my husband gave her the check. I called her back to determine what was $2000 more. She said there was over 1100 sq ft additional. I asked her to come measure and show me. She did and the area she measured was 55'X12' and then said that was actually 800 sq ft. I don't think she is a math scholar because that was actually 660 sq ft. She still insisted I owed the $2000 and "didn't know what we were going to do about this". I suggested she write me a check for the difference. She said her brother would not agree to that. She offerred me $200 back. Interestingly, when we wrote her the second check for $2000 she requested we make it out to her, rather than Jim Kerrigan paving as with the first check. Everything I questioned her about, she lied and tried to make excuses to cover her tracks. Buyer beware; they do NOT appear to be on the up and up. I can't speak to the quality of the driveway at this time. But I will update this review as needed to warns other about this shady business
