Ridiculous company.\r
My car broke and lost all coolant and my insurance company called Grandpa's Towing to tow my son and I 10 miles. Cliff showed up with a flatbed and was going to try to start my car and drive it up the ramp; I asked him not to start it as it had no coolant and I also did not know what was broken and didn't want further damage. I asked if he could use the winch...not a huge or weird request for a tow truck driver! He told me that myself and my husband (who I was on the phone with) ""don't know what we're talking about"" and ""let me do my job"". I told him I just don't want it started and that he should be able to load a car that can't even start. He stomped off yelling at me to ""get someone else"". I said ""your are being paid to tow it"" and he cut me off yelling ""I haven't been paid anything!"". He left my 4 year old and I to wait another 2 hours in my cold car. Cliff was very immature, unprofessional and lazy. He didn't want to get under my car in the rain to hook up the winch. \r
Naturally, when Grandpas Towing originally pulled up I was happy to finally have help. But the way I was treated was adding insult to injury. \r
The next tow company that came to help me told me he isn't even supposed to drive it up the ramp. They said that Cliff was supposed to winch it with 2 winches. He also wondered why Cliff even wanted to start my car as it could have caused more damage. I cannot believe the way I was treated when all I did was ask him not to start MY broken car.
