Review content:
There's lots to say about Chautauqua and it's mostly good. First of all, there are the hiking trails, which are wonderful. I've not done them all, yet, but I've hiked many of them and they are such a wonderful getaway. My favorite is the little-known quarry trail, which ends in a huge quarry area high atop the mountain. Some industrious souls have fashioned Adirondack-like lounge chairs out of the rocks and they just beg you to "plop and set a spell". And I always do! The view form this site is breathtaking and the sun on your face just invites you to doze off. (And I always do that, too!) back at the base of the mountain, you will find an information station that is small but has lots of information (but no bathrooms--you have to hoof it across the field to find one of those). The staff are informative and helpful.
