Review content:
We called Frymire Services, Inc. about a special they were offering for tune-up on three furnaces. They scheduled that easily and sent a technician. In the tune-up he found that one of the electrostatic air cleaners was not working properly. He first suggested putting a disposable $50 filter in instead of fixing it. I told him that I didn't want to do that and asked if he could show me what was wrong. He was trying to encourage me to replace the whole electrostatic air cleanser, which would have cost $1,000. Instead we determined that all that was wrong was a $50 filter that needed replacing. We appreciate when a company suggests all options before encouraging us to replace an expensive component or get a disposable filter. The tune-ups did go well, though. It was a good value for checking the system. We were also considering purchasing the annual service plan. However, during the scheduling of my service appointment, they thought I had the service plan already and told me that the soonest they could get somebody out would be December 26. I made my phone call in early November. Once I told them I was calling about the special, they said they could get me in in just a few days. So it seemed that service plan customers are a lower priority.
