Review content:
I had Dick Van Dyke replace my evaporative fan on my refrigerator as it was making a high-pitched squealing noise. 4 months later the fan starts making that same noise and the part is no longer under the 90 day labor warranty. However, the technician says that the part is still under its 1 year manufacture warranty and that I should be able to pick up the part and install it myself. So I call the parts department and they say that the parts warranty is only valid if I pay them for the labor to install it. Otherwise, I can buy the part and install it myself. I could understand if the parts warranty for the new fan would be void if I install it, but it makes no sense that the warranty on the fan that they already replaced is conditional upon them installing it again.
