I adopted a stray dog after she went unclaimed for a few weeks. I brought her here for a check up and told the vet that I had removed a few ticks from her, and that she had a very, very small appetite. I learned that she was pregnant, so they couldn't give her any vaccines, and that her lack of appetite was just a symptom of pregnancy and nothing to worry about. \r \r They tried to coerce me into bringing her back to have the puppies aborted, and said that I would need to do it within the next day or two because of how far along she was. They told me that it would be better to abort them now than to put them down later, insisting that I would not be able to find good home for any of the pups once they were old enough to separate from their mother.\r \r They then clipped her nails and sent me along my way with a prescription gel for her ear infection.\r \r My beautiful dog just had her litter of puppies, and I took her to a different vet to get her looked over.
